Amazon announced this week a new service that will give sellers access to its enormous warehousing and distribution network. In response to supply chain logjams that have blighted delivery speeds across the nation, clothing retailers American Eagle and Gap are offering other companies, including their competitors, access to their distribution networks and warehouses. Though obstacles abound, including customer concerns over data privacy and a possible loss of competitive edge over their competitors by opening up their logistic resources, American Eagle and Gap believe this move is essential to bring back “accuracy and speed” to the supply chain sector.  Read more…
